Indians require a visa to enter the Philippines

There are a few exceptions and we will tell you about it, in this section

The commonly applied for categories are visitor's visa for pleasure (single entry) or for business (single entry or multiple entry for one year)

Telephone inquiries on the status of a visa application will not be entertained by the consular office

General Rules for Visa Application

Exceptions: No Visa Required

Either a valid America, Japanese, Australian, Canadian, Schengen, Singapore or UK (AJACSSUK) visas or permanent residence permits

Passport valid up to (at least) six months, beyond the planned stay

Return or onward ticket to the next country of destination

No record with the Bureau of Immigration (BI), the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), and the International Police (Interpol)

Some Indians DO NOT need a visa, provided they fulfill the following conditions

NOTE: This visa-free entry is valid for 14 days and can be extended for another 7 days, but cannot be converted into another visa category

Exceptions: Important Points!Visa-free is not the same as Visa-on-Arrival

NO Visa is required, if the applicable conditions are met, so no need to pay

Since the Singapore visa is issued in e-form, the rule of visa-free entry applies only if the Singapore visa has been

used at least once

Basic Requirements for Visa Application

Visa application form fully and legibly filled by the applicant, in English

Photocopy of the data and amendment pages of the applicant's passport

Copy of e-ticket showing confirmed flight details

One passport size photograph taken no more than six months ago. Scanned photos are not acceptable.

Original passport valid for at least six months beyond the planned stay

Submission of Visa Application by Travel Agents Only applications submitted by travel agencies duly accredited by the Outbound Tour Operators Association of India (OTOAI), the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) or Travel Agents’ Federation of India (TAFI) will be entertained.

Copy of credit cards and/or travelers checks or foreign exchange endorsement of the passport

If self-employed, photocopy of latest Income Tax Return and copy of Personal Assessment Number (PAN) Card

Bank statements for the last six months stamped and signed by bank officer

This may be required from the person, or from the company (or person) sponsoring the travel of the applicant

Proofs of financial capacity may include • Bank statements • Proof of income such as pay slips • Income tax return • Certificate of employment • Proof of business ownership, etc.

Applicants, who will be staying in sponsored accommodations, must be ready to provide references in the Philippines

The Embassy reserves the right to ask for other documents where it deems necessary

Travel by Minor Single Entry Tourist Visa

• The affidavit must be executed by either or both parents • The affidavit must state about the traveling companion of minor and

address in the Philippines • The affidavit must be duly notarized by a local Notary Public • The affidavit must then be attested by the MEA and consular officer of

the Philippines Embassy

If a minor, under 18 years of age, is traveling alone or being accompanied by a person other than a parent, or a minor who will not joined by a parent in the Philippines, the following documents are required:

Group Visas

All tour group (with 10 or more members) applications must be submitted in New Delhi Embassy only

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMITTING GROUP APPLICATION • Authenticated contract between tour operator in the Philippines and in India (showing validity period

of contract) • List of tour members • Tour itinerary in the Philippines • Guarantee letter from Tour Operator in India • Flight details • Individual members no longer need to submit financial statements

The visa can be issued for either single entry or multiple entry with a validity of 6 months or 1 year

Medical Health Certificate issued by authorized physician, including chest x-ray

The Philippine Embassy must receive an authority to issue student from the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs before a student visa can be issued The basic requirements for a student visa application remain the same, as discussed in Basic Requirements for Visa Application. The additional requirements are as under:

Fake Visas

The number of fake Philippine visas, used by foreigners, has been rising

Beware

Tourists caught with fake visas are ‣…detained and arrested then deported back to their countries

‣…included in the LookOut List and banned from entering the Philippines forever

The Authorities are very vigilant and strict about this. Please educate your customers about this.

Only two representatives for each travel agency will be issued registrations

The travel agency representatives must wear their company IDs while inside Embassy Premises

The Travel Agency must nominate those employees who can speak English well

To be registered to submit group applications, Travel Agencies must first submit their company background and certificate of membership with OTOAI, TAAI or TAFI. The agency must submit an endorsement letter for it employees, who are being nominated as representatives This must be accompanied with pictures of these representatives, taken in the last six months on a white background
