WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED DURING THE MAKING OF YOUR PRELIMINARY TASK

• During the preliminary task we learned lots of new skills that will benefit us in the future of the course especially regarding software and terminology.

• We learned terms for the types of shots and were able to execute them in our task such as match on action.

• We were introduced to Adobe premier pro which was new for 2/3 of the group. With this new software we learned how to add audio to a video and overlay clips as well as applying effects.

AREAS OF SUCCESS

• Our group ethic was very high during the preliminary task and we were very organised. This benefitted the shots we produced and the quality of editing as we were able to work together well.

• Our editing of the preliminary task was basic but effective in what we were trying to achieve. As each of us created our own versions, it was interesting to see each of our interpretations.

• Some of our shots in the piece looked really good and received many comments on the professionalism of them.

AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT • Originally we had a different cast however due to other

commitments they weren't able to make the filming so we had to replace them. If we could improve this we would chose actors that were reliable or definitely available when filming, to do this we could ask actors in advance or give specific dates that we would look at filming on.

HOW WELL DID YOU MEET THE BRIEF • We managed to include all of the required shots expect

the 180 degree rule because of not having all actors on set at the time.

• Our match on actions were very successful and the other shots looked good too.

• The sequence also followed the story line/narrative it needed to.
