COMMENTS:

Petro Industrial Pty Ltd requested for Structural Engineering Certification for a PT12PB Fuel Tank to Australian

Standards AS 1170.2 and AS 1170.4. Petroindustrial provided the associated Fabrication Drawings, material

data sheets as per the attached PDFs.

Austica Pty Ltd then undertook calculations, models and reviewed the Design to check compliance with AS

1170.2, AS 1170.4.

The review indicates that the PT12PB Fuel Tank Structure meets the requirements of the above noted

Australian Standards while anchored at the base with 2M16 Grade 4.6 Bolts at each corner.

Petrol Industrial Pty Ltd to prepare associated Safe Working Method Statement. Periodic inspections to be

undertaken to the tank to identify any damage. The fuel tank to be only used when in structurally sound state.

The Fuel Storage Structures to be anchored in foundations assessed for commensurate Earthquake loads and

bearing capacities for the proposed location.

Petrol Industrial Pty Ltd to ensure the steel welding has been undertaken by a Registered Welder as per AS

1554.1 and that the materials indicated in the fabrication drawings have been utilised.
