Message from the PTA PresidentWelcome back students, teachers and
parents. I hope that you all had a
great summer in camp, traveling or
just spending time relaxing at home.
We are all excited and ready to start
the new school year!
I am excited to take on this new
position as the PTA President and,
along with an amazing group of
women, we have a great year of
events and new programs planned
for Waters Edge. We are starting a
whole new health and safety
program that will bring to the school
and our students informational
assemblies. We are hoping to start a
recycling program in our school as
other programs to help our
community.
Additionally, we have new
fundraising opportunities, including a
walkathon, that will help the PTA to
fund a covering for the playground.
Also look for new coupon book and
catalogue fundrasiers this year.
The PTA will also bring all of the
events to our school that our children
look forward to every year, such as;
our annual welcome back Ice cream
Social, the Monster Mash in October,
the Holiday Gift Shop in December,
the Carnival in February, among
others. Please make sure to be on the
lookout for flyers that will announce
all of these events. Also, this is our
new journal format that will give
you a complete look at the events
coming up for the Waters Edge
PTA. !Also be sure to still check
Edline for all school information

I invite you all to join the PTA and
make it the best it can be. It takes
the help of every parent and teacher
joining and supporting the PTA and
in turn supporting our students. I
will see you all at our first General
Meeting on Wednesday September
15th.

It is with great pleasure that the
Waters Edge Elementary School
faculty and staff welcome all of our
returning Explorers and their
families along with those new
Explorers joining us for the first time
this year. We are proud and honored
to be the Instructional Leaders of a
school of excellence with such a
talented dedicated professional team
who are committed to providing the

children. We are also extremely
proud and excited that Waters Edge
is once again one of the higher

County. We thank the students,
teachers, staff, parents, and
volunteers who are all responsible

achievements over the past year.!
We are all very fortunate to be part of
a school with a rich history of
innovation, collaboration, and
teamwork, and I look forward to a long
successful future together. The Waters
Edge Staff is very committed to
bringing all of our Explorers a quality
education with the highest academic
standards in a caring, nurturing, and
safe environment. As you know,
education is a partnership between the
home and the school, and
communication is the key. ! With
parents, students, and teachers working
together as a team, we will be able to
achieve many more great things. Let’s
all work together to make this one of
the most successful, productive,
rewarding, and memorable school
