CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS

The Recreation & Special Events Department reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient registration. If cancellation is neces-sary, anyone already registered will be informed and a full refund shall be automatically issued. If a written request is made to the department before the class begins, a refund less 25% handling charge will be issued. After a class begins, re-funds will be allowed only with a doc-tor’s statement of the participant’s in-capacitating illness or injury. A written request for the refund must be accom-panied by the doctor’s statement. In this situation there will also be a 25% handling charge to process the re-fund. Any facility rental cancellation will also be charged a 25% handling fee.

REGISTRATION RULES AND REGULATIONS

OUT OF COUNTY REGISTRATION • Any patron that resides “outside” of Fayette County is considered “Out of County”, also known as a

“Non-Resident” and an additional surcharge will be applied.

FEES AND PAYMENTS

• Fees must be paid PRIOR to the first class of each session. • We do not pro-rate class sessions due to late registration.

• Registration will close and instructors cannot accept students after the second class of the session.

SENIOR DISCOUNT

• Many classes are available at half price to seniors 65 and over; however, some classes offered only for seniors (65 years or older) already reflect a discounted senior price and will be noted in the class description.

The Annual Peachtree City Volunteer Firefighter's Association (PCVFA) Pumpkin Sale will be held each weekend in October with the first delivery on

October 1, 2011. They will be on sale at Station 81 (Leach Station) off of Paschal Road just south of the Post Office on Highway 74, and Station 83 (Weber Station) on Peachtree Parkway just south of Crosstown Road. The proceeds will be used by the Association for training, equipment, work-out equipment, and recognition for it's members. The public is encouraged to

stop in at the fire stations and visit while purchasing a pumpkin; children are welcome to check the fire trucks out and visit with the firefighters.

We will offer our 55 and over guest the chance to enjoy the small heated pool Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8 am to 9 am. The small pool will be open to only those 55 and over. : Anyone entering the pool area must check-in at the lifeguard desk.

: No running, pushing, shoving, or horse-playing.

: No smoking, chewing tobacco or gum in pool area.

: No flotation devices, mask, fins, or snorkels.

: No recreational balls in pool.

: No swimming during heavy rain or when thunder or lightning can be seen or heard.

: No refunds due to inclement weather. Rain Checks given (good for 2 weeks).

: No spitting or spouting of water or blowing nose in the pool.

: Nothing made of glass allowed in pool or pool area.

: Swimsuits required: No cut-offs, t-shirts, or street clothes. Children not potty trained must wear water/swim diapers. No exposed diapers will be permitted. : Children under 12 must be with an adult.

: Parents are responsible for children in the pool.

: Large groups and camps must adhere to 1 adult for every 3 children under 12 for those swimming. : Pool passes must be presented upon arrival.

: Only people with pool passes may leave and re-enter pool.

: Report all accidents to the pool manager.

: All staff (PTC Rec. or USA Pool) has the right and responsibility to eject anyone from the pool and/or facility for misconduct in the pool.

• INDIVIDUAL LESSONS USA Pools offers private lessons. The lessons are one on one and offered at scheduled times. The price for one half-hour lesson is $20 for Fayette County residents and $25 for non-residents. You must sign up for at least three half-hour lessons. Registration forms are available at the Lifeguard Station at Kedron Fieldhouse and Aquatic Center. • LIFEGUARD TRAINING—American Red Cross This is a professional level rescuer course with physical skill requirements. Students must meet pre-requisites to participate in this course. Students will learn lifesaving skills, First Aid, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer in this class. • CPR FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER REVIEW The course is a review of all the skills and knowledge taught in the C-pro course. Students must bring their own book and pocket mask and possess current certification in C-pro to take the course. This class must be reviewed yearly to keep certifications current. • FIRST AID,CPR and BASIC WATER RESCUE ON REQUEST

USA Pools is proud to offer a fun and exciting swim lesson program at the Kedron Fieldhouse and Aquatic Center. The lessons consist of 8, 30-minute classes on Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thurs-day during the fall. The classes have 5 to 8 students per class and participants can be in levels from 6 months to adults. It is important for the participant to be familiar with skill levels (see next page) in order to choose the most appropriate level for their age and ability. Adult classes are taught on an individual basis. USA Pools is now registering for classes online at www.usapools.com. Once you are on the USA Pools site, go to our very user friendly Swim Lesson Registration. On registration days you may talk to a USA Pools staff member, if you have any questions concerning lessons, or you may reach USA Pools at (770) 631-8552. If you prefer to reach USA Pools by e-mail, the address is: [email protected]. Cost for each 8-class session: $50.00 for residents of Fayette County $60.00 for non-residents Remember: Sign up early. Classes are filled on a first-come/first-served basis and fill quickly. Refunds are given ONLY if a written request is received by the Thursday before your class begins. NO refunds will be given after a class begins. Checks or credit cards (VISA or MasterCard) are accepted. Sorry - USA Pools no longer accepts cash.
