Part 1 Rationale (1.1, 1.2, 1.3) Briefly describe the group of learners and outline the objectives of your session. With reference to learning theory, justify (level 3) / evaluate (level 4) the teaching and learning approaches that you have selected for your micro-teach. Describe the different teaching and learning resources you have selected and how you are going to employ them. Outline your plans for assessing that learning has taken place and giving feedback. (Approx 500 words) Part 2 Lesson plan (1.1) Produce a lesson plan. In this plan give details of the activities, resources and teaching, learning and assessing methods you will use in your session. Describe (level 3) / evaluate (level 4) how the lesson will meet the needs of the individual learners. Include relevant information about learning styles, additional learning needs, issues of equality and diversity. Explain how you plan to embed functional skills into the session. (Use pro-forma provided.) Part 3 Evaluation (3.1, 3.2) Using your own reflections and the comments from your tutor and peers, evaluate your session. Referring directly to the points made in your rationale, consider the effectiveness of the resources and teaching methods used, and discuss how far your session objectives were met. Make recommendations for improving the session. (Approx 500 words)
