The three experimental halls (A, B, C) are ~100 long 20 m wide and 18m height.
Aimofthemeeting
The main goal of the meeting is to gather physicistsinterested in the PTOLEMY project and give a clearpicture the state of art of the technology.
Bytheendofthemeetingwillhopefullystartacollaborationthatisinterestedinstayingengagedinacommoneffort,forexampleon:• ParticipatetotheprototypeactivitiesatLNGS• ShareR&Dprogressatcollaborationmeetings• DesignthefinaldetectorforRelicNeutrinosearch• Pursuegrantapplicationstoself-fundtheirgroups• Contributetocollaborationproposalsfornext
generationprototypesandafull-scaleexperiment(Moredetailswillbediscussedtomorrow)
PTOLEMYprototypeatLNGSTheproofofprinciplerequirestoshowthecapabilityoftransportingsingleelectronfromthesourcetothe
measuringpointwithminimalimpactonthetotalenergy.

RunningtheprototypeatLNGSwillallowtoevaluatetheeffectoftheoverburdenonthePTOLEMYdetectorperformance.

InBolognaregionanoldtunnel,usedbycivilaeronauticsinthelate40,hasbeenrefurbishedbyUniversityofBolognatohostawindtunnel.Asecondtunnelisavailabletobeusedforothertypeofresearch.Thisisashallowdepthsite.
