ABOUT Jordan is a passionate and detail-orientated individual, whose skills as a policy and qualitative researcher elevate her passion to ensure the voices and experiences of marginalized populations are recognized. Her work focuses on emphasizing the need for increased health care access, and equity among marginalized and minority populations. Promoting the importance of lived experiences in the designing of public health programs and health policies, she emphasizes the needs of holistic approaches in public health practice. Jordan obtained her B.S. in History, Philosophy, Sociology of Science and B.S in Anthropology from Michigan State University in 2019, focusing on medical anthropology and bioethics. She will complete her Masters of Science in Public Health in Health Policy degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in May of 2021, focusing in program design and evaluation. As a daughter and significant other of U.S. military veterans, Veteran’s Administration healthcare reform and accessible mental health resources are close to her heart. EXPERIENCE CENTER FOR WORLD INDIGENOUS STUDIES – PUBLIC HEALTH RESEARCH INTERN Lead investigation on Global Fourth World COVID-19 Risk Assessment. Conducted data research on available COVID-19 data regarding Indigenous Nations. Assessed Indigenous Nations risk to COVID-19 based on health, access, and political barriers. JOHNS HOPKINS BLOOMBERG SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH – GRADUATE LEGAL ASSISTANT Data input and management of Navajo Nation transportation injury prevention study. Conducted data input, literature reviews, and literature searches. Assisted in writing and editing of papers to submit for publication.
