Review Senate Bill 370, Environment-Recycling-Office Buildings
Review updates to the County’s 2011-2021 Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan
Review Staff Recommendation of Approval

Senate Bill 370
Requires that office buildings with greater than 150,000 square feet provide recycling collection
The County Plan must address the update by October 1, 2020
Office buildings must be within compliance by October 1, 2021

Revisions were made to Chapter 3 of the Plan
These changes were required to include state mandated recycling in office buildings

The below changes to the Plan reflect the County’s response to Senate Bill 370, Environment-Recycling-Office Buildings.

Should the Board of County Commissioners find the Draft Comprehensive Solid Waste Plan acceptable, Staff recommends adoption of the plan as presented.
