CONCLUSION

There exists a wide range of multidimensional opportunities for PPC to mitigate the maritime security challenges of the region in military, economic, environmental and political arenas.

A coordinated approach for the identified focus areas is essential not only for the PPC but also to increase economic growth by saving the import bill and creating jobs for many skilled individuals.

There is a need to develop /revise policies and procedures for effective collaboration, information sharing and funding.
