Publication Plan
Title: Midnight mood(from dafont)
Positioning statement: Connecting with the music
Frequency of publication: Monthly
Price: £3.50
Distribution: Supermarkets, newsagents, music shops, digitally, websites, apps and subscriptions.
Rationale: This magazine is created for indie rock fans. It is going to include updates of upcoming artists/bands and interviews. This is going to be different to other magazines, with the style and fonts but I am still going to follow standard format. It is going to connect with the readers by giving free music downloads and giving them a voice by having an article of fan mail every month. This magazine will compete with magazines like Q, NME, Empire and Mojo.
Style: The style will consist of the same colours and will follow the house style throughout. It will be informal with a normal level of language. Everything the artist says will be included into the magazine so there is a very high possibility that there will be slang and maybe swearing. There will be shorter paragraphs to keep the reader interested. It will also include key quotes in bold to catch the reader’s attention.
