The  name  of  my  magazine  will  be  ‘Smoke  n’  Lasers’    I  chose  this  name  because  I  think  it  represents  the  drum  and  bass  genre  very  well  and  it  makes  you  visualise  a  drum  and  bass  concert  and  what  would  be  going  on  around  you  while  you’re  there.    

The  price  of  my  magazine  will  be  £3.50.  This  is  because  it  is  a  monthly  magazine  and  will  include  mostly  digital  content.    

 

A  fresh  new  look  at  drum  and  bass.    I  chose  this  as  my  posi>oning  statement  because  this  is  what  I  want  my  magazine  to  be.  I  want  it  to  offer  a  new  and  dynamic  look  at  the  drum  and  bass  world.  It  will  be  different  to  other  drum  and  bass  magazines  and  will  stand  out  from  the  crowd.    

 

My  magazine  will  be  available  to  be  accessed  online  and  will  include  interac>ve  content  such  as  compe>>ons  etc.  This  is  because  the  drum  and  bass  industry  is  quite  a  technological  industry  and  having  the  magazine  online  would  fit  in  with  that.  Also,  the  drum  and  bass  audience  are  known  to  download  and  listen  to  a  lot  of  their  music  online  and  are  well  versed  in  the  online  world.  

 

My  magazine  will  be  published  once  every  month  as  there  isn’t  really  much  that  goes  on  in  the  drum  and  bass  world  so  wai>ng  a  month  to  produce  each  magazine  would  make  sure  there  would  be  an  appropriate  amount  of  content  in  each  edi>on.  

 

The  aims  of  my  magazine  are  to  provide  a  unique  and  modern  publica>on  on  everything  to  do  with  drum  and  bass  music.  This  magazine  will  be  different  to  others  as  it  includes  more  digital  content  than  ever  before  and  is  also  interac>ve  in  parts.  

 

The  style  of  my  magazine  will  be  very  modern  and  fresh.  It  will  be  trendy  and  new  and  will  appeal  to  my  audience  well.  The  colours  involved  will  be  yellow,  black  and  red  mostly,  maybe  with  some  green  to  make  sure  it  goes  with  the  three  colour  rule.    

 

Regular  content  would  include  news  from  the  drum  and  bass  world  and  also  compe>>ons  and  quizzes  where  signed  prizes,  >ckets  and  vouchers  can  be  won.    

 

Featured  content  would  include  interviews  with  drum  and  bass  ar>sts  and  special  ar>cles  on  new  and  up  and  coming  ar>sts,  talking  about  their  rise  and  how  they’ve  come  to  be  where  they  are,  for  example.
