For my rock music magazine, I have chosen the name ‘Rock It Up’. Once someone looks at the magazine or hears about it they instantly know what it is all about. I personally think this name and the way it looks really suits my target audience of teenagers and even adults. I have chosen this target audience because this genre of music is quite big for a lot of teenagers and adults. Whereas not a lot of younger people will listen to rock because it is an old genre. The font I have used in my masthead is different to some rock magazines. For example, Kerrang uses a sort of an eroded font but I have gone for a clean, bold and modern font as I believe it will look better to teenagers as they are very modern. I am thinking of using the blue masthead on my magazine because I want my colour scheme to be blue and white. This may suggest to people that my magazines target audience is mainly for the male gender but it is actually aimed for both males and females.Because of the bold and capital text my magazine title will stand out. Also I believe the blue and white colour scheme will make it stand out as the bright colours will attract people to look at the magazine.
