Walden Library & PubMed
1. Setup you’re “My NCBI” account if you haven’t already (it’s free!)
2. Add Walden Library linkout and icons
3. Search PubMed while logged into “My NCBI”
4. Select mnwullib (Walden Library full text) limit
5. Access library full text via button

• Visit PubMed.gov and select the My NCBI link in the upper right corner.
• Register for an account or login if you already have one.

Basic Searching in PubMed
• Basic search box uses keywords or phrases that it recognizes
• Automatically maps to subject term if it matches MeSH
• Author search via Advanced Search• Limits menu above search box• “Send to” menu for saving citations

• What’s the difference?• PubMed contains all of MEDLINE plus
– In-process citations or Pre-MEDLINE records– OLDMEDLINE citations not converted– Out of scope and PMC uploaded– Author manuscripts from NIH funded research– Subset of books available through NCBI
