Puddles joined the children at the SundaySchool. She was just in time to hearMiss Lewis reading from the Bible.

Puddles listened carefully with the children.Miss Lewis turned the page…

Jesus grew up to be a veryspecial teacher who helpedpeople know more about God.Sometimes he told stories withspecial messages and he also

helped lots of people who weresick. He had many friends whobelieved he was God’s son.

But other people didn’t like whatJesus was saying and doing. They became angry with Jesusand planned to kill him. Then,

one Friday, Jesus was killed.

It was a very sad day.

But three days later, on thefollowing Sunday, an amazingthing happened. Some of Jesus’friends said they saw him again!“He is alive!” they said. “How

could this happen?!”

It was the strangest thing theyhad ever known. They couldhardly believe their eyes!

It was a very happy day for

those who loved Jesus.

Miss Lewis closed the Bible. The childrenthought carefully about the story. Theythought about sad times and how sad thepeople were when Jesus had died. Thenthey thought about happy times andremembered how happy and amazed thepeople were that Jesus was alive again.
