The ISC is a pre-engineered standard cartridge sealplatform designed for use in general purpose applicationson ANSI, DIN and other process pumps. Single, dualpressurized or dual non-pressurized pusher or bellowsarrangements allow best selection for common additives, coatings, condensate, dyes, green or white liquors, mill andwhite water type services.
The SL Series and AllPac no flush seals work well in weak, strong, andheavy black liquor as well as high density pulp and stock services like thosefound in pressure screens. The SLM Series offer standard designs for trueslurry pump requirements and is commonly used in coatings and fillerslike clay or TiO2. The LS-300 is specifically designed for highly viscousapplications in positive displacement style pumps that can often run dry.
No Flush Seal SL-5000
The PSS II is the simplest split seal available to theindustry and is ideal for use on rotating equipmenthaving complicated tear down procedures, includingbottom entry mixers and pulpers, side entry chestagitators, refiners and screens. It also works wellon stock pumps with limited access, on non-sparedequipment or in batch service operations with limitedmaintenance time periods.

Flowserve Educational Services is one of the world’s premier providers of industrial flow management technical training. Courses covering “real life” operating practices and practical equipment maintenance techniques are
conducted on-site as well as well as atour world class Learning ResourceCenter (LRC). The LRC provides ahands-on environment including state-of-the-art classrooms, static labs, andcomplete flow control pumping systempower labs. Courses provide “real-time” learning opportunities to enhancefuture professional development.

Alliance Programs exist in many forms and should be viewed as acommon goal partnership. Flowserve will assist the user in reducing
long-term costs of mechanical seals and operating expenses associatedwith rotating equipment. This can go beyond a simple purchasingagreement to include delivery and consigned stocking programs,
on-site support, personnel, and fixed fee asset management.

Flowserve Seals offers a complete line of sealing and service solutions, inaddition to the few highlights in this brochure, for all areas of a mill, big or small,
fully integrated or specialized. For example, bellows seals including the BX and CBR areideal for use in clogging or hot services like heavy black liquor, fuel oil and on large rotating equipment including
refiners. Similarly, pusher seals like the QB-Lube Groove work well in boiler feed and hot water type services.Various Packing Grades and Specialty Tools like Packing Hooks are also available. Consult with your Flowserve
Representative for availability of additional products and for assistance with any seal recommendation or requirement.

Use Seal Gard I & II regulators todeliver a metered flush rate to singleor split seals, or a constant pressurebuffer for dual seals using water todrain (Plan 54) support. Both canachieve savings in effluent treatment, evaporation requirements and overallmill water consumption.
Seal supply reservoir tanks are commonly used in conjunctionwith both non-pressurized and pressurized dual seal applications. They can minimize scale buildup on seal components in caustic, green and white liquor services, provide face lubrication for thickcoating and stock applications and provide isolation of noxious ortoxic fluids from reaching atmosphere, for example, allowing zeroemissions in a bleach process.

Accessories
Seal accessories can greatly enhance andcontrol the mechanical seal operatingenvironment to improve fluid conditions, increase equipment reliability and limit theeffects of upset or off design point operationthat could lead to unscheduled down time.
Bearing isolators like the Bearing Gard II and BGM reducebearing failures due to lubricant contamination from dust, gritand moisture effects of humidity, process over spray and millhose wash down procedures to extend mean time betweenplanned maintenance (MTBPM).
