HEIMEIER pump ball valve, speciallydesigned for heating technology require-ments. Body and ball made of corrosion-resistant gunmetal.

Available for delivery in two models:Globo P without gravity brake, andGlobo P-S with gravity brake.

Gravity brakes which operate at a lownoise level, made of plastic, can beopened externally. Identifiable open/closed position.

Detachable operating toggle made ofshock-resistant plastic. Hidden toggle

stop, therefore no danger of injury.

Thermometer, replaceable through chan-ging the red closing cap in the handle,see accessories.

Maintenance free spindle sealingthrough two EPDM O-rings. Ball sealingfrom pure PTFE. Gravity brake sealingthrough and EPDM O-ring.

Versions with socket female threadconnection and formed flange with fullload-bearing sealing surface. Connec-tions (socket x flange):1 x 1, 11/4 x 11/4 and 11/4" x 1.

Versions with Viega press connectionwith SC-Contur and formed flange withfull load-bearing sealing surface. Con-nections (press connection x flange):

Description

HEIMEIER Globo P and Globo P-S areused in pump warm water heatingsystems for direct connection to circulat-ing pumps with screwed pipe connec-

tions.Easy to install by pushing the pumpunion nut onto the form flange of thepump ball valve. Universal applicationopportunity, e. g. Globo P on the suction

side, and Globo P-S with a gravity brakeon the pressure side of a circulatingpump.

The gravity brake on the Globo P-S is

used e. g. to drain off, fill and bleed thesystem, can be mounted externally.

Note: When the circulating pump is notin operation, low gravity circulation mayoccur in heating systems with a high

operating pressure, despite the gravitybrake. The gravity brake is not designedfor use as a tightly closing return valve.

The pump ball valves can be insulated

against heat loss with no problem usingthe heat insulating dishes or with con-stant pipe insulation, depending on theheating system requirements. The operat-ing toggle is outside the heat insulation.

Mineral oils in the heat transfer mediumor lubricants containing mineral oils ofany type lead to strong swelling and inmost cases cause EPDM seals to fail.

When using nitrite-free frost andcorrosion-resistance solutions with anethylene glycol base, pay close attentionto the details outlined in the manu-facturers documentation, particularlydetails concerning concentration andspecific additives.

Press-Line Connection with Viega SC-ConturGlobo P and Globo P-S ball valves withViega press connection are suitable forcopper pipes conforming to EN 1057 aswell as Viega Sanpress stainless steel andPrestabo steel pipes.

All press connections as well as the valvebodies are made of corrosion-resistant,dezincification-free gunmetal.

Since this is a Viega press connection, allsuitable Viega press-fitting jaws can beused. This means there is no need to pur-chase costly press-fitting tools and jaws.

The pressing action is produced by a for-med hexagon recess before and after thebeading of the connector and gives thepress-fitted joint the necessary strength. Inaddition, the press-fitting beading is speci-fically formed such as to give the high-

grade EPDM sealing element its definedshape.

In the interest of safety, the press connec-tions are equipped with SC-Contur(SC = safety connection) which makes itpossible to detect non-pressed joints byvisible leaks when filling the system. Duringthe press-fitting operation, the SC-Conturis practically reformed and looses its effectin the process, thus producing a perma-nent, tight and positive joint connection.

Initially, press-fitting joints that do not fea-ture SC-Contur can appear to be tight in

the non-pressed state, however, they canslide apart during subsequent operation ofthe system.

The hexagon on the valve bodies is a parti-cularly practical feature for holding the fit-

tings while tightening.

- Geberit: PWH 75

- Geberit /Novopress: Type N 230V, Type Nbattery-powered

- Klauke: UAP 2The suitability of other press-fitting tools

should be verified with the respective manu-facturer.

We recommend using only Viega press-fit-ting jaws to make Viega press connections.
