COMMON ENTRANCE TEST MAH-HM-CET-2015 (On Line) FOR ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR OF FOUR YEAR DEGREE COURSE IN

Hotel Management & Catering Technology Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the admission to First Year of Four Year Degree course in Hotel Management & Catering Technology (HMCT) for the academic year 2015-2016 in Government, Govt. Aided, University Departments and Un-aided Institutes approved by State Government in Maharashtra State. Eligibility criteria for Maharashtra State/OMS/J&K Migrants/GoI/ NRI /PIO/Foreign National/ Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries candidates and other details for HMCT are as follows v Eligibility Criteria:- The candidate must have passed/appeared the HSC (Std. XII) examination of

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in Science/Home Science/MCVC/Commerce/Arts with English as one of the subjects and Secured minimum 45% aggregate marks ( 40% aggregate marks for backward class & Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).

v Scheme of Examination: - The MAH-HM-CET-2015 online test will consist of one question paper of maximum 100 marks to test the aptitude of the candidate for Hotel Management and Catering Technology degree course.

v Date, Time and Duration for Online CET: - The MAH-HM-CET-2015 will be held ONLINE on Sunday, May 24, 2015. The test will be of 90 minutes duration.

v Syllabus for MAH-HM-CET 2015

MAH–HM-CET 2015 will be conducted ONLINE at all examination centers which will include multiple choice objective type questions (MCQs). The test will have 100 Questions based on Reasoning (Verbal as well as Arithmetic),English Language & General Awareness including questions on culture, current national, international affairs, trade & commerce, sports, scientific inventions and discoveries, travel/tourism etc. The question paper for the CET will be set in English only. Translations in any other languages will not be available.

v Availability of Application Kit and other details

• Application Kit is available for sale at all designated Application Form Receipt Centres (ARCs) listed below.

• Prescribed Fees for application form is Rs. 700/- for all candidates and Rs. 500/- for reserved category & Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only (i.e., Candidates having relevant backward class Caste & PH Certificate issued by Maharashtra State authorities )

• Prescribed fees to be given in the form of Cash. No other mode of payment shall be permitted. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

• It is mandatory for all candidates to procure the Application Kit and read the instructions given in carefully.

• Online Submission of the application form in response to this advertisement will amount to accepting the aforesaid rules & regulations unequivocally by the applicant and upon such submission it will be presumed that the applicant agrees and accepts these rules & regulations as

legal, valid and correct. It will not be open for any applicant, once having submitted the application form to Question the legality, validity and correctness of these rules & regulations.

Submission and Confirmation of online filled application form:-

• Aspiring candidates will be able to submit and confirm the Online Application form through the web site www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/hmct2015 through any computer connected to Internet once the Application ID is activated by the ARC from where Application Kit is purchased.

• For the submission and confirmation of the online Application Form the candidates are required to use the Application ID and Password provided in the Application Kit. Candidates are also required to upload his/her photo and signature as per the instructions given in the Application Kit. Candidates are advised to preserve the Application Kit carefully and not to disclose the Application ID & Password to others to avoid impersonation.

• Applications sent by Post/Courier etc. to ARCs/DTE office will be rejected and no communication in this regard will be done with the candidates.

• It should be noted that no documents are required to be submitted at this stage. Candidates are advised to keep the necessary documents ready (Read Annexure II in Information Brochure) at the time of Document verification stage as per schedule.

• Candidate should report to the examination centre half an hour before the examination. • Candidates may also approach designated ARC’s to scan & upload photo, submit & confirm the

Online Application Form. Candidates are required to pay facilitation/support charges of Rs. 50/- in cash towards scanning, printing etc. at these centers.
