SPECIAL THANKS and

CONGRATULATIONS to

KAREN HATKE Program Coordinator, JTRP

Road School Co-Coordinator

The Faculty and Staff of the School of Civil Engineering, Purdue University, The Joint Transportation Research Program, and the Indiana Local Technical Assistance Program would like to congratulate Karen Hatke on her upcoming retirement.

In 2002 Karen was awarded the Dean of Engineering Outstanding Customer Service Award, and in 2006 she received the Civil Engineering Merit Award. During Karen's tenure coordinating Road School, quick changes in technology have demanded a response that she easily tackled . Registration changed from a paper standard to an online process. Under her guidance, attendance has risen by over 40%, and the number of sessions has increased from a handful a day to over 60 different offerings, due in part to her strong organization skills which helped to make the conference more beneficial for everyone.

Please join us in thanking Karen for her dedication and hard work coordinating Purdue Road School these past 13 years. We will miss her and we wish her the best that life has to offer.
