We worked for many years to find every single ingredient and accessory for K a t a r i collection. A lot had to fall into place for each ingredient to become a part of Kataribeauty regimen. When you can feel the warmth

and soul of the product, you know it was created to do good.

K a t a r i connects people around the world. Through our travels we want to show that the world is one and people in it have more in common than otherwise. We hope that our efforts help some of the most ancient crafts

We source each ingredient and accessory directly from the makers, co-ops, villages

and artisanal families. Every single item in our collection is handmade using ancient

sustainable methods.

party organizations who claim to help artisans. Our efforts might only help a few dozen

people, but we know them all, we know that our work

together makes a difference in their lives. We collect and

share their stories.

OUR CERTIFICATIONS

Some trade and product programs and

certificates are used simply for advertising. Instead of

applying for those programs, we help our artisans directly. We don’t have to worry about

the quality of our products. We tested them all above and

beyond of what is required.

GERAN (ZHE-RUN) – GERANIUM WATERContains: geranium leaves and stems and pure water.Production: first distillation geranium flower water is collected drop by drop from condensed vapor filled with aromatic wild geranium. It is naturally stable and naturally preservative-free.

ROSEAU (RO-ZO) – ROSE WATER Contains: rose petals and pure water.Production: vapor distilled drop by drop from freshest rose petals, the ancient process creates a fragrant flower toner naturally stable without the use of preservatives.

ARGIL (AR-ZHIL’) – KATARI GREEN CLAYContains: Iron, Magnesium, Calcium, hundreds of trace minerals, organic plant matter; pH-neutral.Production: clay is hand extracted from a small quarry in Atlas Mountains.

HOBA (HO-BUH) – JOJOBA PLANT WAXContains: liquid wax (oil) fromjojoba seeds.Production: labor intensive process of cold-pressing has much lower yield but it creates the highest quality oil that preserves all of its benefits.HOBA is EURO Organic Certified.

BARIE (BUH-RIE) – PRICKLY PEAR CACTUS SEED OILContains: cold-pressed oil from the seeds of the Prickly Pear Cactus aka Figue De Barbarie.Production: hundreds of hours go into collecting of the prickly fruits, their drying, removing and drying the pulp and removing and drying the seeds. The seeds then get cold-pressed. 470 kg of seeds are used to make just 1 liter of Barie oil.BARIE is EURO Organic Certified.

Each bowl carries the warmth and energy of earth, water, fire and female hands. Each bowl is hand-thrown out of black porous volcanic clay, hand-picked in the mountains.

The process of making of these bowls is uniquely simple – each bowl is fired on open fire at lowtemperature after it is painted with black clay mixed with water and then it is coated with resin from a local treeto make it water-resistant.
