252 253 Colophone LABELED This year started early, as we tried to transition to yet another school year. We began advertising work over the summer and found some difficulty in selling ads to businesses. Once the school year began, we were in full swing. When it came to the theme, it didn’t take long to agree on “LABELED” and the details just seemed to fall into place. As new rules entered the building, and our birthday and holiday food celebrations became a thing of the past, our staff still managed to grow closer together. Although the road was a bit bumpy along the way, we managed to pull together, meet most deadlines, and create a final product. You are now holding in your hands the 256 page creation of a small staff of 9 students. We chose name tags to personalize the pages by adding descriptions created by the clubs, sports teams and groups represented on the pages. We also chose colors to make the book as visually appealing as possible. We chose to stick to 2 fonts for most of the pages. The headline font was AWPCSleepwalker and the body font was AWPCEbony. We did add some other unique fonts to fit the descriptions on the name tags. We tried to incorporate as many students as we could through quotes and photos. We added some personal quotes to the portrait pages, so as you look back, you can get to know other students a little better. We hope you have as much fun looking through this book as we did in the creation of the book. Here’s to another great year! THANK YOU! To the staff: Since the year began, you have been commited and ready to take on new challenges. You are one of a kind and we look forward to another great year next year. To the professional photograpehrs: We appreciate the time and effort you put into every senior photo to help capture our good sides. Year after year, you give us the high quality photos that help represent who our student body is. To our Walsworth friends: Thank you so much for publishing our memories and helping to problem-solve bumps along the way. Thank you to Greg Adams and Keith McCoy for visiting us and supporting us with all of our food and design needs. Thank you to Michelle Brosemer who when we needed, always had the right answers. To Mr. Pfefferle: We can’t thank you enough for the quick response and problem-solving you always bring. Without you, we don’t know what we would do. To the GISH Administration: Thank you for the support and encouragement. And thank you for looking out for us. We love you all. 2013-14 Purple and Gold Staff Editor Adviser Hailey Morgan Marci Veach Writer/Photographers Jose Baeza Aguilar Abbey Hansen Jacie Johnson Santos Llamas Veronica Ontiveros Luz Rodriguez Jeraldin Zurita-Meza Purple and Gold Volume 96 Colophone.indd All Pages 2/27/14 9:05 AM
