AIRPLANES-TYPE OF PAPER
Purpose
The reason we are doing this project is to see which type of paper makes a paper plane fly the farthest.
HypothesisWe think that the notebook paper will fly the farthest because it is the thinnest and therefore the lightest.
The Materials
1 sheet of blank paper
3 sheets of notebook paper 8.5x11
3 sheets of colored construction paper 8.5x11
3 sheets of sand paper 8.5x11
1 tape measure 1 pair of scissors 1 pencil
The Procedures
Step 1: Make 3 of the same kind of plane out of notebook paper 8.5x11
Step 2: Make 3 of the same kind of plane out of construction paper 8.5x11
Step 3: Make 3 of the same kind of plane out of sand paper 8.5x11
Step 4: Lay a tape measure all the way out on the floor
The Procedures
Step 5: Have someone throw 1 sand paper, notebook, & construction paper planes with the same force
Step 6: Go check how far each plane flew
Step 7: Lay a piece of blank paper down and record how far each plane flew
Repeat steps 5,6, and 7 two more times for each type of plane.

Conclusion
Our hypothesis was right. We thought that the notebook paper plane would fly the farthest because it was the thinnest and therefore the lightest. If we were to do this project again we would change the types of paper that we used.
