What about mentors?Outcome 2BEvidence of Success?

The best parts of the program were when we received practical information. We were given tools that we could use the next day. The handouts we received were easy to use and most important relevant.

I was able to learn more strategies that I would not have known without taking this class.

The strategies taught were practical and research-based.

The program was beneficial, and many of the components were necessary for professional development (i.e. mentor observations, weekly contact with mentor, many of the professional development sessions).

The program provided opportunities to familiarize myself with district practices, culture, and expectations. This was tremendously helpful as a new teacher.

The induction program set the bar -- it was made very clear what the district's expectations are for both students AND teachers. I feel confident that I am working with a district that expects me to be the best I can be.
