Founded in Peace, Pursuing the Good
(Increased Offering Program)
Over the next few weeks, you will be hearing about the
upcoming Founded in Peace, Pursuing the Good at St. Francis
of Assisi Newman Center. This effort is very important as we
move forward with the mission and vision of St. Francis of
Assisi Newman Center. We, as a parish family, have changed
so many lives in our community! In order to continue our
mission and ministries, we encourage all parishioners to
spend time in prayer and discussion with your family
reflecting on the work we do. We look forward to seeing all of
our parishioners at Mass, especially during our special
Commitment Weekend on February 22 & February 23. If you
have any questions regarding the Founded in Peace, Pursuing
the Good, please feel free to contact the parish office.

Newman Night and Dinner Thank You - Jan 29th
Our students on our Weekly Events Team cooked a
delicious meal of Skyline Chilli with pasta, french fries, and
roasted veggies. About 60 students attended the dinner.
The activity for the evening was a Testimony Night. Cara
Brockman shared about St. Paul's conversion story and
how to share your testimony. Cara Brockman (Junior),
Ryan Sims (Senior), and Stephanie Mendoza (Freshman)
all shared their own testimonies with their peers.

Women's Discernment Retreat with
Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration
February 21-23 in Mishawaka, IN
College and Young Adult Women are welcome to travel
with a group from St. Francis to attend a women's
vocational discernment retreat weekend with the Sisters
of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration in Mishawaka, IN. It
is held at the convent of the Sisters of St. Francis of
Perpetual Adoration where many of the sisters live, and
situated on beautiful grounds. A discernment retreat
weekend is a beautiful way to step away, rest, spend time
in prayer and the Sacraments, hear talks on prayer and
discernment, and have real conversations and fellowship
with the sisters and other women on retreat.
For more information and registration go to ssfpa.org/
retreat.
Reach out to Bri Bruske in Campus Ministry at
[email protected] for any questions regarding retreats.

St. Francis Fruitful Harvest Update
Fruitful Harvest Reminder
We are just seven months away from the end of the 2018
Fruitful Harvest Appeal. We are at 74% of our goal for paid
pledges. If you pledged and still have an outstanding balance,
you should be receiving reminders from the diocese. If those
reminders have not come or are incorrect, please contact Tara
Edmondson so we can correct their records. The campaign
runs until August 2020. If you are able to make an additional
gift this year, we would also appreciate that. All donations can
be placed in the weekly offertory basket in an envelope marked
Fruitful Harvest or dropped off at the parish office or submitted
electronically at www.dol-in.org.
