ConnectionThe signalling elements are wiredusing the screw terminals in theconnection element, screw terminalson the 8WD42 and screw or springtype terminals on the 8WD44.

Cable outletThe connecting cables can be guidedeither downwards or sidewaysthrough the cable gland using anadapter that can be screwed underthe foot. This makes wiring easier ifthere is no access from below.

Connection to AS-InterfaceThe 8WD4 signalling columns can bedirectly connected to the AS-interfacebus system through an adapterelement that can be integrated.Wiring outlay is reduced as the result.The two wire bus cable is fixed to thescrew terminals in the connectionelement. AS-interface adapterelement is a standard slave and mustbe the first module to be positionedon the connection element. Amaximum of 4 signalling elements canthen be mounted on it.

Easy installationAfter lead connections are made tothe ribbon switch and the base isscrewed to the wall, the switch issimply placed in the base with thetop cover snapped into position. End caps make the transition fromthe DaDo system assembly tostandard 25 x 15mm cable trunking,keeping the wiring neat and tidy.Where internal wiring is used, closedend caps are available. Onceassembled, the system is tamper-proof and very difficult to vandalise.Sensitivity optionsThe system is supplied in highsensitivity as standard, making it idealfor panic alarm situations where anycontact with the strip will cause analarm.
