Solving Equations1-3
• We always want to get our variable by itself on one side of the equal sign
• We always do the opposite of what it says when we do math operations across the equal sign.
![Page 7: Put your signature page on the overhead projector please August 23, 2011](https://reader036.vdocument.in/reader036/viewer/2022083008/56649ea85503460f94bab0d1/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Solving Equations
• When we are solving equations we still use our order of operations. (PEMDAS)
• However, when we are doing math operations across the equal sign, we do the order of operations backwards.
