Putting together Christmas JoyCHRISTMAS Hampers
are a special little box. Hand packed with love, they include non-perishable food items families can eat on Christmas Day. As soon as the box is decorated and packed, LCC staff pack up the ute and personally deliver hampers to the family’s door.
For the past four years, Lutheran Community Care Alice Springs, have joyfully supplied Christmas food hampers for families in need. The Alice Springs Christmas Hamper crew spreads love widely, helping families in Alice Springs and in surrounding remote
communities. The Alice Springs LCC staff know the financial hardships affecting Alice Springs families.
In Alice Springs, we have some beautiful, hardworking, caring little helpers. Each year, students at Living Waters Lutheran School share the gift of giving love by decorating hamper boxes with colorful Christmas themed pictures and making Christmas
Cards for hampers. This adds a personal touch to the hampers and brings smiles to the receiver’s faces.
The students also do an amazing job donating food items for the hampers. A ‘big thank you’ to all the students at Living Waters School.

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, we are reminded of all he brought to those who were suffering when he walked this earth. We are also reminded
of his love for us. Let us continue to bring his love to life this Christmas.

Alice Springs, Lutheran Community Care would like to thank Maggie Gleeson (Briscoe) for her five years of service at LCC.
Maggie is passionate about travelling to communities to help the Aboriginal mob with her abilities as a Financial Counsellor. As a Financial Counsellor, Maggie is an advocate for the people of the Central Desert in helping them with their financial issues. Although, it is hard leaving her Aboriginal family, she looks forward to retirement and spending time with her grandchildren; and doing volunteer work when she comes back to visit.
Thank you. . .01 LCC staff would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the lovely volunteers, who have again given so generously of their time and contribution to the Op Shop.
