This summer I made a water blaster with my two grandsons. It's a refreshing way for kids to have a blast. Especially on a warm day.

Here's how to make it...

Instructions

1. Cut the PVC pipe to lengths as shown in Photo 2.

Page 2: PVC Water Blaster - pvcworkshop.com Water Blaster.pdf · 2.Drill five 1/8-inch holes into two PVC caps as shown in Photo 2. (Be sure to remove the burrs from the holes.) 3. Assemble

2.Drill five 1/8-inch holes into two PVC caps as shown in Photo 2. (Be sure to remove the burrs from the holes.)

3. Assemble the water blaster as shown in Photo 1.

4. Paint.

5. Attach the nozzle, turn on the water and watch the kids have fun!

Alternatives

1. To make a 3-barrel blaster, substitute a PVC cross for the tee. (See Photo 5.)

2. Wrap it with decorative tape along with colorful paint.

3. You can make the lengths of PVC pipe larger or smaller... longer barrels, longer handle, and so on.

4. Drill different size and number of holes in the barrel caps. Smaller holes make thinner streams of water that shoot farther.

5. Drill holes at an angle to shoot water in several directions.
