Weather Proof DC Isolation

DC isolation is an electrical device that divides direct current (DC) into multiple branches and only allow current in one direction in each branch.

This DC isolation switch is used between DC PV arrays and grid-connect inverters. Positioned adjacent to the inverter a DC switch is required to provide a mean of manually isolating the entire PV array during system installation or any subsequent maintenance.

The DC of the instrument power would be blocked by the capacitor, but the high frequency telemetry would pass through the capacitor. The telemetry input circuit is isolated from the DC supply.
