The falling cost of solar photovoltaic energy installations, together with the rising cost of electrical energy to consumers, has accelerated the arrival of many types of solutions and innovations for photovoltaic energy installations. CIRCUTOR, in establishing synergies between its expertise in electrical energy measuring and management and leveraging the renewable resources that produce it, has designed a complete solution that includes integrated instantaneous self-consumption, electric vehicle charging and energy monitoring and supervision systems.

Capture energy to achieve top performance.

Solar canopies offer a set of advantages and benefits over conventional photovoltaic energy installations. The main difference is that they are shelters that are installed into the ground, so you do not need to have separate rooftop space available. As a result, solar canopies can be installed on buildable surfaces, such as car parks or open areas.

Generally, canopies are installed in car parks as shelters over vehicles that also provide a powerful source of solar photovoltaic energy. Taking advantage of areas of an installation where other structures cannot be built is a way to reduce energy expenditure and dependency on the electrical network.

As an additional feature, along with generating photovoltaic energy, the canopies can be supplemented with an advanced charging system for electric vehicles. There are two models of electric vehicle charging units: the first are charging boxes built into the structure (RVE-WB-CP1); the second are external charge posts that can be freely located (RVE2-P). The entire system is supported by powerful management software that enables you to carry out the electric energy management of the installation and vehicle charging.

The most complete system

› Shelters for vehicles. › Generation of photovoltaic energy. › Electric vehicle charging. › Reduction of energy costs. › Reduction of CO

2 emissions

associated with generating energy. › Monitoring and supervision of the electricity

consumption of the installation and the PV generation.

Solar canopies consist of 3 main elements that complement each other perfectly to comprise a complete, versatile and robust product.

The perfect combination

Advantages

The main element is the photovoltaic canopy itself, which is modular and comes in many dimensions that allow it to adapt to any type of surface.

The next element is the electric vehicle charging system, which leverages the renewable energy generated by the canopy and supplies it to the vehicles that are connected to it.

Finally, the energy management software manages and controls all the elements and links them together for comprehensive monitoring of the entire solution.

Companies

Infrastructures

In car parks at businesses and shopping centres, canopies bring great benefits to the installation:

They are an ideal solution for large employee car parks that can be found at many companies, or for customers who park temporarily, providing shelter for vehicles and not taking up additional space in the installation.

Service areas are an example of places that need more electric vehicle charging points, as the current cars that run

on electricity have a low fuel range. Solar canopies solve this problem in that they are not only shelters for vehicles,

but also include a charging system that uses renewable energy, and they are preferred by users of electric vehicles.

There are two electric vehicle charging systems for solar canopies. Each type of system has its distinguishing features. First there is the Wallbox RVE-WB-CP1, a charging box with a double power socket and combinations of single-phase and three-phase connections. Or you can choose the option with RVE2-P charge posts, which also have a double power socket as well as built-in communications, freeing the user to decide where to install them as they are not built into the canopies.

CTE Certification

There are two software versions available for managing the canopy and its associated infrastructure. The more basic and compact

version provides the main electrical data and energy information about the installation. The

more complete version (PowerStudio SCADA) provides full energy management

and monitoring of all the canopies, and components such as the charging systems.

Energy management software

Modularity and scalability

Fully modular to adapt to the client's needs. Solar canopies are flexible to meet customer needs. The different features and functionalities can be combined to create a canopy that best suits the installation. The modularity of the structures also allows them to be fully adapted to any type of installation, of any size. There are multiple topologies to choose from with 2 or 3 parking spaces.

PVing PARKS are certified under

the CTE to withstand the harshest

weather conditions

(for instance, winds of up to 200 km/h)

PVing PARKS

PVing Parks © 2017 CIRCUTOR, SA — circutor.com — [email protected]

PVing PARKS is a solution that combines a photovoltaic solar canopy with regulation of the injection of power into the grid and a charging system for electric vehicles. This solution enables the production of energy during daylight hours to cover part of the electricity consumption of an installation and the charging of electric vehicles.

PVing PARKS has Web monitoring and electric energy management software, which provides real-time information on energy production, power savings and the power consumption of connected cars. With this software you can also save all the historical information in a database for periodic analysis of the installation's energy and cost savings. PVing PARKS solutions can cover a parking area from 2 to 6 spaces with their double connection for charging electric vehicles. Special configurations are also possible for car parks that provide a turnkey solution.

This system offers the following advantages: — Reduction in energy consumed from the electrical network — Coverage for outdoor car parks — Reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere

CIRCUTOR can also develop larger custom solutions, overseeing the engineering and installation of the entire system.

— Charging electric vehicles with solar power — Photovoltaic energy installations in buildings where roof installation

is not possible, for installing conventional photovoltaic panels — Self-consumption without injection into the grid.
