1. General information

Cart is designed to carry water system for service of aircrafts. The structure consists of steel beams and sheets , surface protected by galvanizing and painting. The tank is thermally insulated , made of stainless steel . Pumping system consists of a electric driven pump, fittings and hose assemblies . The cart is equipped with a battery, charger, indication of battery charge and temperature of the water in the tank, independent diesel heating Webasto and electric heater 230V AC .

The construction The truck is made of closed steel sections protected against corrosion by galvanizing and painting. The structure is covered with a painted galvanized steel sheet , the upper surface of duralumin sheet with anti-skid finish. The space between the tank and the structure is filled with an insulating material , protecting the system against freezing. The solid rear axle is part of the frame . The front steering axle is mounted on a turntable. The wheels are in size 4.00-8 with integrated hubs and ball bearings. The drawbar eye is topped with a diameter of 40 mm. The front axle is equipped with a parking brake activated by lifting and securing the drawbar in an upright position with the pedal.

The tank Tank and outlet pipe is made of stainless food steel ( grade : 1.4301 +2 B , IEC 17246 ). There is a removable lid for easy cleaning, the quick release coupler, size " C" and overflow vent.

The pumping system Water from the tank is pumped through a pump driven by an electric motor. The whole system is protected by a pressure valve set to 1.8 bar. In case of failure of the electrical system, water system can be driven by back-up hand pump ( pump lever is mounted behind the left doors).

WARNING ! The pump must not be operated without water - risk of damage !



2. Operation

Checks before use

Make an overall visual check of the unit, with special attention to: - The condition of the unit - Condition of wheels - Condition of hose, its connections and securing - Leakage - Battery condition - The level of fuel in the independent heating tank - The quantity of water in the tank

Water tank can be filled with "C" quick coupler on the top platform. Deaeration is provided by tank overflow next to the inspection aperture. Check the level of water in the tank during refilling by means of a watermark placed on the tank behind the right door. Moving of the cart Unlock the drawbar by pedal, connect it to the tractor and pull the cart in the designated area speed prescribed up to 25 km / h. Position cart into a prescribed area near the service panel of the aircraft. After filling, store the hose, close the door and when connected to the towing vehicle, drag into the designated parking area.

Aircraft filling Connect the water supply hose to the aircraft service panel flange. Turn on the pump and feed water system according to the aircraft’s manufacturer instructions. The water flow is done by means of a electric or hand pump and by opening the valve located at the inlet hose. Close the valve on the filling hose, when filling was ended. Disconnect the water hose in the prescribed manner from a service panel of aircraft. Turn off the pump and store the hose inside the cart.

Water heating In cold conditions it is possible to heat the water in the tank against freezing by heater 230 V AC. Before use plug the cable located behind the left door. Heating is controlled by a built-in thermostat (7-10 ° C). When connected to 230 V AC, battery is automatically charged also Heating For heating the interior of the cart there is integrated independent diesel heater Webasto. Turning on the heating is automatic, depending on the setting of the thermostat behind the left door (factory set at approximately 20 ° C) when operating the heater, follow the manufacturer's manual.



Drain the tank To drain the tank serves a drainage hose located behind the left door. When parking the cart at temperatures lower than 1 ° C, it is necessary to empty the water system, including the opening of (rotate) the pressure reducing valve

Cleaning of the tank and water system Cleaning the water system must be performed according to national guidelines. Weekly flushing of the tank and water system with using of disinfection is generally recommended. Battery charging There is a charter inside the cart to charge the battery. Charging is turned on automatically when connecting the cart to 230 V source. The charging status is displayed on the charger. Water system deaerating - Open all water vents - Pump by the manual pump until the level of water in hose reaches overpressure vent - Turn the vent to unlocked position until the system sucks the water to the electric pump. - Run the electric pump

3. Restricted manipulations

It is prohibited to:

- Use untested cart - Serve cart by untrained persons - Operate the pump when the water volume is low. - Use cart for purposes other than service water system of aircraft - Make changes to the design of the cart - Use a trolley to transport persons or other cargo beyond the prescribed

4. Maintenace

In general Maintenance of service cart can be done with use of standard tools, according to general workshop practice.

Structure The cart structure is maintenance free, except for common cleaning. You can use regular non-aggressive detergents. Any part of the structure and chassis showing damage must be repaired or replaced with original parts. Otherwise, it may result in extensive damage to other parts of the cart or accident and injury to staff.

Water system Pump, hoses and fittings must be checked for mechanical damage, leakage and any abnormal change in the function. Filling hose must be checked for cracks and other defects affecting the system for leaks. In the event of leakage must be repaired or replaced.

Chassis Wheels must be checked daily before operating. Excessively worn tires, missing or loose bolts must be immediately replaced. Front axle turntable must be checked every 6 months and lubricated at intervals of 1 year.
