BUILT TO HANDLE LARGE JOBS

On construction projects where structures are of massive propor-tions, PZ Super Panel is the optimum crane-set formwork system for high strength combined with fast assembly, repositioning and dismantling. The basis of Super Panel is a heavy duty steel frame with a choice of plywood facing. Clamping requirements are kept to a minimum to speed up on-site or in-situ modular panel assem-bly.

The precision manufactured, durable steel-frame formwork offers exceptional versatility due to the range of flat or angle panel sizes available. A wide range of standard sizes and the ability to connect panels vertically or horizontally means that formwork for almost any site geometry can be quickly and easily assembled using the precise connecting components. The result is a fast, simple, yet solid system.

PZ Super Panel is fully compatible with the PZ Alu-Frame system, and all accessories are inter-usable.

PANEL DIMENSIONS

5 panel heights: 300, 270, 250, 150 and 100cm. For each height panel right-angle and universal panels, external angles, and extension connectors are available.

11 standard panel widths: 125, 100, 75, 60, 50, 45, 40, 35, 30, 25 and 20cm

All panel frames have 5cm grid holes that allow maximum flexibility for corner, column and end formwork. Panel sizes and connectors ensure optimum utilization of formwork on site. 300 and 270 height panels are ideal for full-height wall and column formwork.

ROBUST HEAVY-DUTY PANELS

Large panel sizes are combined with high load bearing capacity. The strength of the system allows for large sections of wall or column forms to be cast and the entire formwork then removed and repositioned by crane without the need of dismantling or additional support. The system is highly economical for repeated, modular uses.

Long lifespan: The solid steel frame results in a heavy weight panel which is designed to withstand the rigors of a fast-paced construc-tion site. Their strength means that Super Panels can be used countless times, and when handled correctly they will deliver a superb concrete finish every time.

Simplicity of design and safety aspects: The logical and easy-to-use connectors mean that even an untrained workforce will quickly understand the process. This translates into fast setting and reposi-tioning times for any form geometry of a site. Working platforms can be attached at any height giving a safe location for extending the formwork vertically.

Flexibility: A wide range of panels along with accessories and connectors provides maximum versatility. Super Panel is fully compatible with PZ Alu-Frame, and all accessories and panels are inter-useable for increased efficiency.

COLUMN FORMWORK

THE IDEAL SOLUTION FOR REPEATED USE

Super Panel is the ideal crane-set system for constructing columns. All Super Panels have holes in a 5cm grid which allows an almost endless combination of panel configurations. The 300 and 270 panels are perfect for fixed-height columns. Further panels can be incorporated for higher columns as required.

OPTIMUM EFFICIENCY

300 and 270 panels provide full-height column forms. Higher columns are achieved by adding extra panels.

Illustrated here is a 6.0m high Super Panel assembly being re-positioned. This formwork comprises 8 vertically connected 300cm panels with no extra support at the joints. Where neces-sary, extra support can be provided by walling beams.



WALL FORMWORK

SUPER PANEL DELIVERS STRENGTH, VERSATILITY & EFFICIENCY

The Super Panel system utilises easy-to-use connectors, accesso-ries and safety devices to provide a fast, safe, economic answer for any retaining wall formwork. A wide range of right-angle and universal panels augments the system’s versatility. The 300 and 270 Super Panel series offers full-height solutions for retaining walls, minimising the need for extra connectors; they are also especially functional for foundations. As all Super Panels have a 5cm grid of holes, maximum flexibility is achieved in meeting any geometric requirements and closing formwork walls.

The heavy weight of the panels ensures a close-fitting system able to deal with heavy pressure loads. Large surface modules moved by crane speed production and minimise costs. Compatibility of Super Panel with Alu-Frame panels and accessories increases resource utilisation.

Super Panel modules provided a highly effective formwork solution for this dam construction site, speeding and simplifying the entire construction process.



Super Panel is an ideal crane-set system for complex wall and column formwork, and on projects with high repetition require-ments.

Super Panels combine with Alu-Frame panels and utilise the same components and accessories. This illustration shows a site where Super Panel and Alu-Frame have been used to achieve a complex formwork configuration – notice also PZ H-Frame system in use.



SINGLE-SIDED WALL FORMWORK

INCORPORATING THE PZ HEAVY DUTY SUPPORT SYSTEM Super Panel is ideal for single-sided wall formwork when combined with PZ’s innovative Heavy Duty Support System for single-sided walls. The system comprises specially designed support units made up of heavy duty steel beams and integrated push and pull mecha-nisms, and requires a minimum number of connection parts. Support elements are placed where Super Panels join, using L-bolt anchors. The system is strong and reliable, and, due to the superior panel shuttering surface, yields high-quality concrete finishes.

Support units can be full height or adjusted according to required formwork height. Lateral spacing is calculated according to panel size, with consideration given to the limitations of the concrete loads. A climbing version of the support element is also available for higher formwork configurations. The system is used most efficiently in large pre-assembled modules that are positioned and repositioned by crane. Three methods of anchoring are available, depending on whether the base has been cast or not.

Illustration below shows a 3m high x 5m wide module comprised of 6 H/D support units supporting four 300 x 125cm Super Panels – and with a cantilever working platform attached. The panels are joined using L-bolts set through the vertical steel beams and secured with wing nuts. One of the advantages of using Super Panels for single-sided wall formwork is that the 125cm panels create a larger surface area than standard panels, yet use the same numbers of connectors and support units – thereby reducing costs. The length of each pre-assembled module that may be employed is subject to crane lifting capability and site dimensions. Extra walling can be applied to extremely long modules to ensure stability.
