Question 3“What have you learned from your

audience feedback?”

What I learntAfter receiving predominantly positive audience feedback on my music video, I was able to better understand my successes and failures at appealing to them as my target audience. One of theses successes was that they were not phased by my band members absence from the music video. Most importantly though, I my intentions of establishing a clear house-style throughout my video, digipak and poster was successful as 90% said that they saw the links between the products. One limitation was that my target audience’s reviews were mixed over the unusual narrative of my music video and two said that it was confusing in parts.

My Ancillary TasksDuring my development, I conducted another survey for my target audience which found they did not like the font on my digipaks main cover because it didn't’t match the house-style I had already established in the bold, san-serif font used for my poster. I altered the text’s font on my digipak cover to the same one as my This was important feedback as it taught me the importance of having continuity between my different products in order to appeal to my audience and look more professional.

Final Development of my Product

I also conducted ongoing audience feedback during the development stage of my products. This was help keep my products on tack with what my target audience wanted. Examples of key times when I asked my target audience questions for feedback that influenced my final product were:

Should I use the same main image of both my band members used in my poster? No – because using a new image will make the digipak more interesting.

• Should I use an altered image, comprised of both my band members faces edited together for the digipak cover? No because it is not appealing and doesn't resemble the relaxing “Chillwave” genre of the music.

Result:For this reason I used another photograph that this time only included one band member (Angus). I think this was an effective decision as it gave me the chance to create a new variation of my bands house style in order to keep fans interested, whilst still drawing links between its fonts and colour scheme.
