The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade has launched a common GI

Logo and Tagline. Guidelines have been prepared to ensure its correct usage. The

4. U.S. introduces a new bill to ban Huawei from buying and selling US

patents

A new bill was introduced to the U.S. senate that aims to ban Huawei from buying or

selling U.S. patents. The bill seeks to enable the U.S. federal government to block

companies on the U.S. government trade blacklist from buying, selling or exclusively

National IPR Summit – 21st June, New Delhi

Vivek Singh, Head – IP Drafting, Filing & Prosecution was invited to

speak at the event in a panel discussion on 'What are the Industry issues

The theme of the summit was “Creating a Robust IP Ecosystem” wherein

INTA Boston 2019

Sagacious IP participated in the world's largest and most widely-attended

trademark event in May at Boston. The event had five days of education and

networking, and saw over 8,500 attendees from more than 140 countries.

Sagacious IP attended IPBC Auto in Detroit, USA, which bought together leading

IP experts from across the automotive landscape. Through various thought

leadership sessions, discussions and networking, attendees gained insight into

the IP challenges in the new era of mobility.

Details of all the quarterly events are given below:

The first quarter of 2019-20 was

action packed as far as employee

engagement activities are concerned.

These unique activities were

designed to engage everyone with

full enthusiasm and zeal.

On this splendid occasion to express and convey

deepest love, regards and gratitude for

everything mothers have done for us a “Mom &

Me” picture collage and special “Thank you

mom” video message were created by

Sagacious employees. To showcase our

gratitude we had a theme based poster making

competition, we were at awe seeing everyone's

creativity which showcased the eternal love of a

mother for her children in various forms. In-

house mothers were appreciated with gift cards.

Mother's Day Celebration

World IP Day

Reach for Gold: IP and Sports: Celebration of

World IP day - Sagacians as a team adhered to

the theme with all passion and enthusiasm and

also participated for a team photo shoot on 26th

April 2019. An inter-departmental IPR quiz was

also held which was won by team members of

ICT Licensing team. Winners for this quiz event

were Arshjot Gill and Nagesh Nair.

Landmark Training

3rd June 2019, we had Mr. Parminder Singh

Kakria, Head-Public / Policy affairs, Wipro Ltd

with us in the office for a special introduction to

the landmark Forum. The focus of this

introductory session was to highlight that life

isn't about finding oneself, it's about creating

oneself. Many team members even went ahead

and participated in the 3 Day Landmark Forum

and the rest few have registered for it to attend

soon.

We understand the value of our festivals and

thus, never miss to celebrate the auspicious

events at our offices. One of such festivals, Eid

was celebrated in the month of June where we

provided all the support to the Sagacians who

kept Ramzan fasting. The auspicious occasion of

Eid was celebrated on 4th June 2019 with

sweets, henna competition & traditional attire.

These activities united the environment and

provided the opportunity to replenish their

spirits.

Observance of World Environment Day

Along with fun activities at Sagacious, we also

commemorated Environment day to let

people know that “The consequences of

failing to sensibly and effectively manage the

environment are profound and far-reaching”.

We have distributed “Beej Balls by Tree Box” to

our employees to plant them and grow them

as trees to contribute towards a sustainable

environment.

World Blood Donation Day and

Blood Donation Camp

There is no great joy than saving a soul. In spirit

of World Blood Donation Day Sagacians did

their bit by organizing a Blood Donation Camp in

the month of June. The camp was organized at

our office premises wherein a team of doctors

from Rotary Blood Bank helped us in facilitating

this noble cause. 27 blood donors donated

blood for a reason – and the reason was life. The

blood bank team felicitated the donor heroes

with a certificate and a medal. It was one of the

noblest initiatives which surely contributed to

the service of humanity.

International Yoga day was celebrated on 21st

June 2019 with Yoga Asanas at desk. Yoga is a

spiritual science which focuses on bringing

harmony between mind and body. It was

originated in India and now practiced by all over

the world. To keep Sagacians fit and healthy, we

celebrated the International Day of Yoga by

making them aware of its benefits and simple

practices that they perform within the office

while working. On this day, they were trained by

a professional trainer about different poses and

sequences which they practiced at their desks

and incorporated in their daily life by learning

about good postures and movements to avoid

back problems, stiff neck etc.

Father's Day Celebration

In an initiative to honour the spirit of fatherhood

and to celebrate the relationship that we share

with our fathers, Sagacians celebrated Father's

Day in the month of June. A beautiful video was

created for all the daddy cools, wherein

everyone shared special messages for their

fathers. The messages ranged from thanking

our daddies for all that they have done for us, to

expressing how special they are, to appraising

the fact that they are our best friends for life.

While the in house games made the event full of

fun, it was the Father's Day Gifts that added to

the excitement.

The fun has just begun!

Last but not least, during our first quarter we also have launched the Sagacious

Instagram page to keep everyone updated and excited about new things that are

happening here in our office.
