My ProductFor our product we decided to follow the conventions of ‘Fabulous’ using one image of one of the main stars of our soap. We used the colour scheme of red. Black and white to link with the characters outfit.

The eye contact attracts the reader to the magazine we made the character look desirable so that the audience will want to look like her.

We used the French name to make it seem classy and allow the readers to feel classy when reading it.

Jay is bigger because he is the main person in the trailer, his body language show power and smug facial expression suggest he is up to no good.

Johnny is stood behind Beck and Cara to suggest that they are both angry at him. His facial expression is guilty because he knows he has done wrong.

Becks is stood with her back to Johnny which suggests he is the reason for her depressed facial expression.

Cara is stood with confidence with her back to both Beck and Johnny because she is the reason they are fighting and her flirty smirk suggests she does not care about the damage she has caused.

Tom is places behind Jay as though he is being overpowered and his facial expression says he is scared to face up to him.

Rachel is also behind Jay and Tom to show that she knows what is happening but is too scared to do anything about it which is shown on her facial expression.

We chose ‘The North’ as our Soap name because we wanted it to link with the place and be realistic to fit the Social Realism. We also wanted used Coronation Street to help and as they were named after the street it was filmed on we decided that as it was filmed in Manchester which is in the north of England we chose The North.

We used Itv2 because that is the channel that Coronation Street is shown on so we wanted to follow them as much as we could. The starting clip of the nail varnish and the shoes links in with the storyline of Cara the Flirt who is shown throughout the trailer.
