Q6 - WHAT HAVE YOU
LEARNED ABOUT
TECHNOLOGIES FROM
THE PROCESS OF
CONSTRUCTING THIS
PRODUCT?
Technology used to create magazines requires understanding of using computing software
like Photoshop and quarke. Because mine was a small independent project, the magazine
would of taken longer in my experience and also would be less professional than Magazines
which are developed commercially (for instance, made every week or month)

Using Cameras
The camera was generally easy to get to know as it was a more expert camera to use unlike a
basic digital camera. Usually in expert use, the camera would be a lot more bigger and several
devices would be used like a white background, lights to produce good lighting, tripods, ect. With
ours, we had to use our surroundings, unfortunately the room my photos were took was a dark
room with a unconventionally used background (detailed old wall paper). The cameras came out
professionally and were easy to use on the Photoshop program to edit them and such.

for the photo shoot.
Using quark and Photoshop
Using quark and Photoshop did require a bit of practice, but the outcomes on some of the edited
pictures/pages on the software's were professional looking. The process making the pages took a
bit of time but it was to do little detailed touch ups and so forth. Quark was easier to use than
Photoshop as it only required to write in text and paste mostly images around the page whereas
with Photoshop there was cutting out and editing required.
Quark and Photoshop being the two main software programs we used in this project.
Managing the blog
The blog was pretty straight forward and easy to understand its basis and how to manage, it had
draft buttons on the blog so you could post your hidden entry any time you wanted or you could
edit it again and such. The blog was straight forward with its widgets on the posts to put on
pictures and captions to make it straight forward. The blog was slightly more professional than
the more mainstream social networking blogs like Tumblr and Twitter, but it was again a lot more
easier.
Blogging site we used called
Blogger.
