What I have learned: I have learned the

masthead needs to be the biggest and most eye-catching subject on the magazine.

I have learned new skills to edit and highlight different texts from the background to make them distinctive and for them to stand out, especially the masthead and the main cover line.

I have learned new skills on how to take more professional photographs to make more of an impact on the audience(Closer shot to see the direct eye contact, and also the light settings to highlight the features of the face.

I have learned the skills required to draw the reader in for example putting a pull quote of an article found inside.

What I have learned: I have learned how to

edit images and cut out different objects from the background such as the Big Ben found on the pop magazine(by using Photoshop).

I have also learned page numbers are the conventions of a magazine’s contents and it’s crucial to include them to make it easier for the target market to find the pages they are looking for.

I have learned a variety of images is needed for a pop magazine to interest the target market and also make the page more visual for the audience.

I have learned a plain white background is a convention of a contents page as it is easier to read the contents without getting distracted by the background.

I have learned it is a convention of a magazine to include the masthead from the cover onto the contents in a smaller version to keep to the house style.

Overall, I have developed my skills into the Photoshop to edit and cut out photos to make the biggest impact on the audience which had improved the final magazine.

I have developed my research skills because I needed to know different popular pop artists that I could include in my magazine but also to analyse other pop magazines available in the market to get inspiration from.
