What made you want to be a part of Qatar Foundation? Qatar Foundation (QF) is one of the best organizations in the world, with aspecial focus in the fields of education, science and research, andcommunity development. An establishment that thrives on unlockinghuman potential, it focuses on training its employees and believes inenhancing their work capabilities through training, workshops, andconferences. QF in turn benefits through the employee’s services, whichconsequently helps in achieving QF’s vision to transform Qatar to aknowledge-based economy. I am proud to be part of such an institution.

How is QF Operations contributing to Qatar National Vision 2030? In my view, QF Operations is the nerve center of QF’s vision, which is insync with Qatar National Vision 2030. Through applying well enhanced ITprocesses and simplified procurement systems throughout QF, QFOperations helps all of QF’s departments and centers achieve their goalseasily and smoothly.

What about the IT field excites you the most?What I enjoy most about my role as an IT professional is being exposed tothe latest technologies, both in software and hardware, in this ever-changing era of modern technology.

What do you see as your greatest achievement so far?One of the biggest achievements I have had so far is implementing the e-Procurement system throughout QF, which transformed QF from paperbased purchasing to a fully automated process.

What do you like best about living and working in Qatar? I must say that I love the people of this country, and their rich culture andheritage.

What are your hobbies?I enjoy flying in light aircrafts, as I truly love aviation.

What motivational quote do you try to live by? Two quotes by Albert Einstein that have had a massive impact in my life,especially in my career, are: “The only source of knowledge isexperience.” and “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand itwell enough.”

What is your favorite place in Education City and why?My favorite place in Education City is the LAS building, as its architectureis very inspirational, mixing the modern style with an oriental one.
