NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 22nd May, 2009

G.S.R. 350(E).-In exercise of the powers conferred by ~heproviso to article 309 of the Constitution, thePresident hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Economic Service Rules, 2008, namely :_

1. (1) These rules may be called the Indian Economic Service (Amendment) Rules, 2009.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Indian Economic Service Rules, 2008, in Schedule II,-

(i) in serial No.1 relating to Ministry of Finance, against item (a) relating to Department of EconomicAffairs, under column (7), for the figures "12", the figures "13" shall be substituted;

(ii) in serial No.6 relating to Ministry of Food Processing Industries,-

(b) in column (8), figure ;'1" shall be omitted;

(a) in column (7), for the figure "2", the figure" 1" shall be substituted;
