Director’s Message

Dear Parents, Students & Community Members,

Welcome to our QSI Monthly Newsletter, this is our first Issue for this

scholastic year 2013-14. Every end of the month we will be issuing

our Newsletter which will contain various information including pic-

tures and important links relating to the school and our students, plus

news for the upcoming month. As your new Director I would like to

take this opportunity to wish all our students a fantastic year full of

joy, learning opportunities and gratifying successes.

From my end I am determined to give my utmost to make this year a

great and successful one. My aim will be to ensure that the school

achieves excellent performance academically and that every student

feels happy in an all-round healthy and safe environment.

To Parents and all Community members I would like to point out that we need all your help and

support. I want to create a bridge of opportunities where we can all be involved and help out to

create a better ambience for our students both at school and at home. Working together to im-

prove not only the status of our school site but also the classrooms environment.

I believe that this can be done by providing our students ways and means with which to interact

with one another, with nature and all their surrounding environments. They will eventually learn

how to become better citizens and consequently better adults.

Hence the objective of the after school activities and other events that we are planning for the fu-

ture most of which will be fully discussed further on this year. So as promised I am both excited

and proud to introduce our new After School Activities. This is a brilliant way to get our students

interested in extra-curriculum activities and keep them properly occupied after school hours. A full

detail breakdown of all activities with relative schedules and timetables are available in this Issue.

My job as Director is primarily to establish a well balanced community where everyone is content

and education rules supreme. This my mission, which I aim to achieve, in order for this to occur,

all of us need to be working together. Communication is the way forward and we shall constantly

let you be well informed and integrated with what is happening in our school via all our media.

After all we ultimately have one common goal in mind and in heart ..we all want the best for our

children and QSI Malta.

Extra-curriculum School Activities

This month we will be launching our extracurricular activities. Each day, our students will be with their assigned teacher and will be participating in a team building activity or

learn a new skill-set. Our teachers are eager to work with your child in a category which will promote enrichment for both educator and pupil. All of our children will work with an

educator in an activity and will be grouped according to their age. Our goal is to introduce and involve kids in new crafts. We feel that this will help build school community, create

camaraderie, develop new skill-sets, and help students become well rounded citizens. Our objective is to provide different opportunities for our children. Some of the things we

will be adding to our extracurricular activities are the following:

Art, Sports, and Environment, Drama and Computer Skills Clubs.

Primary students will have daily extracurricular activities during afternoon school hours. Secondary students will have the same opportunity to participate in extracurricular activi-

ties on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00 - 4:45 pm. While Primary students will have a normal time schedule and finish at 4:00 pm, students attending Secondary will re-

main at school until 4:45 pm. Details and more information regarding Secondary students will be given at a later stage. Please let us know beforehand what sort of transportation

arrangement you will require and by whom they will be picked up from school. There will be multiple options on our flyer so all Secondary students arrive home safely.
