The Three Painters are coming! Mark your calendars now. We are in for a rare treat: Friday September 15 from 8a to Noon Jim Petty, Roberta Rogers and John Schooley, well-known professional painters from the Tubac School of Fine Art will do simultaneous demonstrations of their styles of watercolor painting. Interested people can come and go as they want or stay for the whole time.

Jim will demonstrate watercolor pencils. Roberta will demonstrate loose traditional watercolor. John will demonstrate a fine ink base sketch with complete watercolor on top. See examples below:

Incorporating Animals Into Your Painting A Two-Day Watercolor Workshop with Instructor Marianne Nielsen

Course Overview This two-day workshop offers watercolor artists who have some experience an in-depth exploration of the nuances of painting animals with emphasis on eyes, noses, fur, light, and composition. In addition, source material will be provided to enable the student to create their own original painting. Instructor Marianne Nielsen has been teaching watercolor since 2007. She is a member of the Ore-gon Watercolor Society. She exhibits in Oregon and more of her work can be seen at her website nielsenwatercolors.com

Supplies List Two drop cloths or plastic sheets Full supplies list will be provided at registration.

You are also always welcome to sit at the Open Studio table when classes are going on. Other Open Studio times in September are Monday afternoons 9/4, 9/11, 9/18, 9/25.
