1.6 QUALIFICATION OF TEACHERS

Teachers

Candidate should have a good academic record with the following academic qualification. Good academic record with graduation with B. Ed. / B. El. Ed. / B. Ed. (nursery)

OR Graduation with diploma in Pre-school and Lower Primary Education / Diploma in Elementary Education

Principal / Head

1. Academic and Professional qualifications will be as prescribed for the post of teacher.

2. At least five years experience of teaching in Elementary Teacher Education / Pre-school Teacher Education Institution.

QUALIFICATION – PRE PRIMARY

PRIMARY - TEACHER

Senior Secondary School certificate or Intermediate or its equivalent; an

Diploma or certificate in basic teachers training of a duration of not less than two years.

OR

Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

PRINCIPAL / HEAD

i) Academic and professional qualification will be as prescribed for the post of Lecturer.

ii) At least five years’ experience of teaching in elementary teacher education institution

QUALIFICATION – PRIMARY (ELEMENTARY)

UPPER PRIMARY (MIDDLE

SECTION)

• Senior Secondary School

equivalent; and

• Diploma or certificate in

elementary teachers training of

ORFour years’ integrated B.Sc., B.Ed. or an equivalent course.

QUALIFICATION – SECONDARY/HIGH SCHOOL

Masters Degree in the relevant subject with Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or its equivalent.

OR

Two years integrated M.Sc.Ed. course or an equivalent course.

QUALIFICATION-HIGHER SECONDARY / INTERMEDIATE

Assistant Professor

The minimum requirements of a good

academic record, 55% marks (or an

equivalent grade in a point scale

wherever grading system is followed)

at the master’s level and qualifying in

the National Eligibility Test (NET), or

an accredited test (State Level

Eligibility Test - SLET/SET), shall

remain for the appointment of

Assistant Professors.

QUALIFICATION – HIGHER EDUCATION

An eminent scholar with Ph.D.

qualification(s) in the

concerned/allied/relevant discipline

and published work of high quality,

actively engaged in research with

evidence of

published work with a minimum of 10

publications as books and/or

research/policy

papers.

QUALIFICATION – HIGHER EDUCATION
