Bauer shipping services are done via an off-loading boom truck. This allows, in most instances, the convenience of materials being placed close to the wall site, therefore minimizing the amount of lifting and transporting for the homeowner. Bauer maintains a fleet of these trucks which helps to minimize delivery times in the busiest seasons. As an alternative, we also offer delivery by truck with a special forklift attached which in most cases can deliver material right to the wall site. This service is available for an additional fee. Additionally materials may be shipped on a flatbed if off-loading can be done by the property owner. Please contact your local Authorized Dealer to arrange delivery of your materials.

Dimensions:Dimensions are listed in the following order: Width, Height, Length. For example a 5” x 8” x 16” block is 5” wide x 8” high x 16” long.
The nominal face size of BAUER Block is 8” x 16”. The nominal thickness is 3”, 4” 5”, 6”, 8”, 10”, 12”, 14”, 16” and 18” (inches). BAUER Block are manufactured in accordance with “Modular Dimensions”. For example, the actual size of an 8” x 8” x 16” block is 7 5/8” x 7 5/8” x 15 5/8” which allows for a 3/8” mortar joint.
Types of Block:
BAUER Block are manufactured in two basic types of aggregates to meet the most exacting and varied needs of modern building requirements.
1). Sand, Gravel, and Limestone Block A strong, dense unit made from clean washed sand, gravel, and lime stone, of medium texture, gray in color. Ideal for commercial buildings and other construction subject to heavy loads.
2). Light Weight Light in weight, providing the following desirable qualities: fire resistance, excellent insulation characteristics, sound absorbing, can be nailed into, easily cut or channeled, ideal base for plastering. (Check for availability)
Both types of BAUER Block are designed to meet the C-90 requirements of the American Society of Testing Materials.
