They have finally made it… yes our Foundation
students have FINALLY been to school (onsite) for 100
days and will celebrate this tomorrow when the day
actually comes! I am looking forward to seeing them
arrive in their 100 day outfits and to join in with some
of their celebrations.
This week is NAIDOC week. NAIDOC is a reminder
for all that the history of Australia did not begin
with its discovery by European and Dutch
explorers. Instead it cherishes that our land was
first walked upon by the feet that nurtured,
farmed, explored and populated by First Nation peoples. The 2020 theme is
‘Always was, Always Will Be’.
Yesterday some of our Year 3/4 classes went on an excursion to Echuca and
visited TwistED Science. This was a great opportunity for them to finally be
able to go on an excursion. Our other two Year 3/4 classes will head off
tomorrow.
A huge thank you to everyone who has already supported the Parents’ Club
Christmas Raffle. If you are able to sell more tickets, please contact the office
and we will send some home with your child. Photo’s of the prizes on offer,
can be seen on our school’s Facebook page.
Next Monday and Wednesday I will be conducting information sessions for
our BYOD program for families of students who are in Year 2. If you already
have a child who is in Year 3 or above, you do not have to attend the session
and information will be sent home with your child.
Please note that Wednesday 2nd December is a Pupil Free Day. On the
following day, Thursday 3rd December students are
invited to wear their Christmas colours to school.
Have a great Friday and a great weekend! It is hard to
believe there are just five weeks left in the school
year!
Simone

Welcome to Week 6!
Hi! We are Cody and Maddi and we are the James House Captains.
This week’s school value is ‘accept others opinion: allow others voices to be heard’. For example, if you were doing work in a group, then you have to know that everyone will have their own opinion and that you will have to compromise.
Congratulations Foundation students on 100 days at school, for tomorrow!
The Year 5 students are currently working on their leadership speeches for a leadership role for next year.
This has been a tough year for all of us but we hope that this term so far has been lots of fun. We have all done an amazing job this year and we need to continue to persist.
You are one in a million, so be yourself because you are amazing just the way you are!!
Thank You.
Year 6 T-Shirts and Jumpers
The School Uniform Shop in Corio Street is now taking orders for the Year 6 t-shirts and
jumpers for 2021. Please take your child into the store to check for correct sizing and to
place your order. T-shirts will be available for pick up prior to the commencement of
Term 1 next year and jumpers will be available in February.
Jumpers will have the school logo and Year 6 2021 embroidered on them.
Orders will need to be placed by Friday 27th November, 2020. No orders will be taken
after this date and you will not be able to purchase them during the year.
Book Club
Book Club brochures went home this week and are due back tomorrow Friday 13th November. We have limited time to get the orders in due to the Christmas mail rush, so please make sure your order is in on Friday. Thank You!
