Not only the spectrum, but also the light intensity shapes the plant and affects the morphology. The ‘Multiblond’ lettuces were grown under Valoya AP67 spectrum with 50, 75, 100 and 125 umol light intensity, respectively.

A= Red oak leaf lettuce was grown first week under 50 umol, after which it was grown under 50, 75, 100 or 125 umol for 21 days. B= first week under 50, 75, 100, or 125 umol and then 21 days under 50 umol. Light intensity affects plant morphology and secondary metabolite activity, such as anthocyanin production.

• Some plants flower in short day, some in long day. Most leafy vegetables are day
neutral and can be cultivated in long day conditions.

Valoya AP67 spectrum promotes vegetative and generative growth and enhances truss elongation of strawberry.
Due to the quality of the spectrum, bumble bees can navigate in this no-natural light environment enabling efficient pollination of the flowers.
