Dear Parents, Students & Community Members,
The Christmas season is upon us and a few thoughts have passed
through me. Christmas doesn't really come from a store, maybe
Christmas should mean a little bit more....
My idea of Christmas, whether old-fashioned or modern, is pretty
simple: loving others. Come to think of it, why do we have to wait for
Christmas to do that?
Our hearts should grow tender with childhood memories and love of
family, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, be-
come a child again at Christmas-time. As we approach the holidays,
the QSI staff and I wish you the very best whether you are traveling
or staying in Malta. We look forward to your return in the new year
of 2013.

Music field trip
Students who are between seven and eleven years old, will be attending a concert pre-
sented by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. This event will be held on the 7th of Decem-
ber. All students are to bring €10 each by not later than Monday 3rd December.

Music & Drama - Christmas Concert
The Christmas Concert is under way!!
For the fifth consecutive year, QSI is preparing a Christmas Concert. The concert
is scheduled for the 12th December. Being the last day of school before the Christ-
mas holidays, I would appreciate it if you would advise me whether your children
will still be in Malta on the above date. This information will allow us to know who
can be included in the cast for the concert.
Your cooperation and understanding is much appreciated.

Mrs. Iles Class Activities
Jan Paul Drewes is 7 years old.
His favorite movie is Sendung mit der Maus (Mission with
the Mouse). He likes to collect Donald Duck books,
money and stones. Green, Red, Yellow, Blue and Or-
ange are his favorite colors.
Dad, mom and sister Nora complete his family. His fa-
vorite sport is football. A dream vacation for Jan would
be going to Namibia (South Africa).

I have recently subscribed to Raz Kids, which gives students a library of books to read
(on line) at their level. The students will be able to log into their own account which
tracks their progress and includes comprehension quizzes. This can be used at any-
time, where ever there is internet service and programmes will continue throughout the
summer.
