GDS to DCMS: What to make of shift in data responsibility? It would have been easy to miss the announcement if it hadn’t been for the furore on Twitter. There had already been speculation, but, late on Thursday, Prime Minster, Theresa May, confirmed that responsibility for data sharing, data ethics, open data and data governance would move from the Government Digital Service (GDS) to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS). The transfer came into effect on Sunday (1st April).

Share indices for March 2018 - The Truth is in the NumbersWhen the UK’s most valuable software company loses half its value overnight, the effect ripples through the FTSE indices.
