DESCRIPTION
Who is the core audience for your film? In my opinion I believe that our core audience will be older teenagers up to early adults ( ish). I say this because our movie is highly complex and complicated and I don’t believe younger teenagers want to see films which are like this, and I also think that older adults wont appeal as much because our film does show young elements. I think university students will be the bulk of our audience because they can relate to our main character ‘Lloyd’ who is the same age. I think our “broader one-off audience” is younger teenagers, because if they can understand the narrative they can relate to many points throughout the movie. Furthermore our core audience will be in our view intelligent people whom read a lot of books and watch a lot of films already, people who have these interests our are main audience. We can hopefully attract a broader interest from directors and film companies, this is because of our cast. Ryder Broadbent is our main actor and we hope that he can generate some attention just as Joseph Gordon-Levitt did in the film Brick. Our Thriller will attract mainly males this is because of the violence and narrative which our movie contains. Some aspects of our film such as the violence may prevent frequent older cinemagoers from coming although this may also invite younger cinemagoers, this will decide our box office takings.TRANSCRIPT

Thriller Target Audience• People watch thriller movie’s as a form of escapism, To be thrilled, The tension,
The climatic moments and as an emotional test.• Anyone can watch Thriller movie’s, however the main target audience tends to be
early teenagers through to middle aged adults at the age of 30. Other ages enjoy Thriller movies also but they are not considered the target audience.
• Both men and women enjoy Thrillers but they have different reasons why. The women tend to enjoy the thrills which are offered and the strong male character who tends to have the main role. For example Liam Neeson in Taken and Taken 2. The Men also enjoy the thrills, but they may not enjoy the male character which the women do. Men enjoy the action as well as the tension in the film and also the twists and turns offered on the way. You don’t have to be apart of a certain social class to enjoy Thrillers.
• Any person despite their social class background can enjoy this genre. Although if you are high up in the social class hierarchy, you may want the narrative to challenge you intellectually for example Donnie Darko and Momentum. If you are lower down in the social class ranking you may want the narrative to be more simple.

More audience..• I consider “Prima-Facie” to be a hard hitting Thriller style movie which will affect
what type of audience we will attract. This will affect our figures because like I have previously said some may avoid our movie and some may come because of violence. Similar to “Brick” and “Fight Club”.
• I would give our film a 12a rating because it contains the following;Horror Moderate physical and psychological threat may be permitted, provided disturbing
sequences are not frequent or sustained.Imitable behaviour Dangerous behaviour (for example, hanging, suicide and self-harming) should not
dwell on detail which could be copied, or appear pain or harm free. Easily accessible weapons should not be glamorised.
Theme Mature themes are acceptable, but their treatment must be suitable for young
teenagers.Violence Moderate violence is allowed but should not dwell on detail. There should be no
emphasis on injuries or blood, but occasional gory moments may be permitted if justified by the context. Sexual violence may only be implied or briefly and discreetly indicated, and must have a strong contextual justification.
Even more audience..• Mainstream thriller audiences tend to be at an older age
ranging from the age group of 30-50 years as Thrillers tend to attract a wider audience. However our audience would be 15 - 30 because we are more independent and are targeting a niche crowd.
