What have you learnt about technologies from the process of

constructing this product?

Page 2: Question 6

BloggerBlogger was used throughout the whole project in order to record ideas/plans to show evidence of how our final outcome was produced. Various technologies such as: Prezi, Youtube, Flipagram and Fotor were incorporated into blog post as apart of exploration of different medias.

Blogger was a main priority in our project as the website allowed us to easily keep track of our continuous progression and evolving creativity.

Page 3: Question 6

Prezi

Prezi was included into our blog as a multimedia technique to enhance the creativity of our ideas. As a start we used Prezi to present our teen film storyboard which was useful to show our clear plan of how we was going to create our final opening step by step.

Prezi was a form of media that we incorporated throughout our blog to present our intentions from filming in a specific location to our individual progression posts.

Cameras

A JVC camera was used to film throughout the whole process of the project from the task of the shot by shot remake to producing our final film opening. Other cameras used were a digital camera and flip camera which were used to capture where/what we was filming to upload onto the blog showing a steady progress.

In order to prevent the JVC camera from shaking a tripod was used which allowed us to achieve ‘still’ filming and a clear focus on strong angle shots that were used. However the tripod was not used for shots such as ‘worms eye view’ as this angle requires capturing footage close to the ground.

Final cut pro

Final cut pro was a second stage of creating our film opening.

Seeing as we knew this was going to be a priority as apart of finishing our outcome we had experience of using the software when producing our premliminary and shot by shot task.

Final cut pro was useful for finishing touches to our filming for an example; motions, soundtrack, independent idents and transitions were added in order to bring the final outcome together. In regards to how our ident was created, we used Motion we challenged our creativity of how a production and distribution icon should be made.

Page 6: Question 6

Creative commons/SoundcloudCreative commons and soundcloud are search engines we used to find copyright free music for our non-diegetic soundtrack for ‘Making the cut’.Due to downloadable music being illegal, both of these software were safe and legal giving us the opportunity to search freely for any type of soundtrack that was best suited for our film.

Creative commons reduced our risk of using a copyright soundtrack. If we were directed to YouTube through creative commons then we would use Clip Grabber in order for the soundtrack to be imported into Final cut pro which can be adjusted on the timeline of where we wanted to use that particular soundtrack.

Seeing as we included two soundtracks into our opening we were strict with how we were going to find the music and we put in effort to find the best non copyrighted track which would fit our opening. Creative commons and Soundcloud were very ideal and in future would definitely use this as apart of any media project.

Page 7: Question 6

YouTubeYouTube was used in a minor aspect throughout the project. We mainly used the search engine for apart of our planning and a research of ideas however we also uploaded our original animated storyboard onto YouTube in movement which clearly showed our idea of how our final film opening would be.We did this to give the viewer a prepared idea of what to expect when everything was completed, In comparison we also used YouTube to upload our final film as we knew the search engine is popular we used our initiatives and thought this is a useful way for our audience to view our film and leave feedback on what they thought about it.

YouTube was very useful in all aspects from researching to uploading our own videos, this is a very good way to connect to other people and to find out what they think of your creations.

Motion

Motion was used to create our production and distribution idents. In order to prevent copyright from happening we created our own idents which also challenged our creativity to another level.

As a group we had difficulty in how to create our own ident from the beginning so we used templates which gave us a head start and from then the ideas began to flow resulting in us creating ‘Dreys Productions’ and ‘Chrome Entertainment’.

Motion helped bring our standards of professionalism highly, because if we used an ident that was already created this would be classed as copyright as well as us restricting our inventiveness.

Clip grabber/Audio converter

Clip grabber was used to import our soundtracks into Final cut pro which allowed us to have the sound over the film opening. We originally found the tracks on creative commons which then led to us using clip grabber as a final stage of having our soundtrack.

Audio converter helped us change the format of the soundtracks which we originally downloaded. Audio converter allowed us to be compatible with the program we were using which made it easier for use to add/remove any sound we wanted.
