This graph shows what people wish to see

within a music magazine. These are things which I have taken into account and included within my

contents.

When producing my music magazine, I went away and in my own time and class time thought about my content in a larger depth then I previously had when producing my college magazine. I found it was greatly easier, since I had chosen the genre myself and it was something that I’m interested in. Therefore choosing my audience was the only difficult bit, I also produced a questionnaire to help me with ideas on topics and to give me an insight as to what people want to see in a music magazine.

When producing my preliminary task I found I had no extra time to research and to come up with a range of ideas which benefited everyone as my topic was so specific, I therefore found it harder to think of cover lines and stories to fill my content.

Overall as the music magazine was such a larger task to produce then the college magazine I had more time to think of ideas and produce some really good outcomes. I found the larger time scale and the help of questionnaires and others views, I felt that it enabled me to be organised something I wasn't when producing the preliminary task. As I didn't have to spend large amounts of time thinking on content as I was organised and had already produced further research I could spend more time on catching my audiences eye.

Page 8: Question 6

I was more creative, with

colours, fonts and styles.

I was able to discover shadowing tools, which

helped my images to stand out more and to

reduced the jagged edge look.

I also became more confident and

ambitious when importing files of

images into in design.

As I had previously used, programmes such as Photoshop and In design and had a basic grasps of them and new how to create specific elements, I was able to get stuck in and test my knowledge and push myself further then using the basics I had previously learnt. Also as I had chosen my genre and am very familiar with the generic conventions, it allowed me to be more creative when drawing attention to my targeted audience. I was also able to develop on ideas and key skills I had previously used. I found that when reviewing both of my

magazines , it was clear that I had used similar ideas when it came to the colour scheme

although I was helped by my questionnaire when producing my music magazine. I also

found I had kept with a similar modern and not to cluttered layout, something which appeals

to me when reading a magazine. Overall I believe my music magazine shows more then

my creativity, time and effort then my previous college magazine.
